"The original idea was to tear down the barn and erect a modern business park, but one look at The Barn and I knew we had to save it," says Ron Sturgeon, Local Developer
FORT WORTH, TX, November 29, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- What do you get when you take a picturesque Texas barn, bring it back to life after tornado damage and completely renovate it?
You get the best barn themed wedding venue the DFW Metro area has to offer, that's what!
"They don't make them like that anymore!" That's what Ron Sturgeon, local entrepreneur and owner of over one-million square feet of small, multi-use industrial properties, thought when he first saw The Barn, a twenty-year old former Percheron horse barn and paddock located in the Alliance Area of North Fort Worth.
"There was this beautiful horse barn, dark exterior wood, quality craftsmanship in the building, everything you expect in a Texas barn, and it was for sale as part of a 32-acre property. The original idea was to tear down the barn and erect a modern business park, but one look at The Barn and I knew we had to save it," Sturgeon said. "And not only save it, but make it the premier barn themed wedding venue in Texas."
Sturgeon is no stranger to innovative, against-the-norm ideas. He recently built the first, and only, Fort Worth business park made entirely out of shipping containers, Box Office Warehouse Suites, so the idea of saving an old barn and making it into an affordable venue was not a radical idea for him at all.
"I kept looking at The Barn and thinking what if I had a daughter . . . where would I want her to be married? Some traditional wedding hall? Some traditional church? Or somewhere that had character, a rustic wedding in one of the few barn venues for weddings in the area? Once I thought about it like that, the answer and our path were pretty simple to envision."
The Barn offers ample parking space with room for over 200 vehicles. It offers over 4,000 square feet of wedding event venue space, a kitchenette, remodeled interior, and convenient location, north Fort Worth, south of the Alliance area, west of I35 at the Golden Heights exit.
