As the owner of balance salon and spa, an exclusive AVEDA concept salon, Mrs. Cancio prides herself on providing the highest quality customer service at what she calls the "Ritz Carlton" of the hair industry. Mrs. Cancio started her own salon in 2008 after meeting her husband and spending years working with her mother, a cosmetologist, in the family salon. They launched the newly re-branded location, named balance salon | spa, in September 2009.

For the past 17 years, Mrs. Cancio has worked in the food and beverage industry where she has been rapidly promoted for her hard work and passion for the products with which she works. She began her food and beverage career at Sara Lee Corporation in Chicago, Illinois. She attributes her success to her independence, persistence, attention to detail, and most importantly, God.

Mrs. Cancio received her dual Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Macro Sociology and Psychology from Roosevelt University - Chicago in 1993. She is a member of the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce, the Tampa Bay Sales & Marketing Executives International, the Network of Executive Women, the American Management Association and the Service Corps of Retired Executives. In her spare time, she supports Hope Cuts for the American Cancer Society, Locks of Love the Catholic Charities Society, the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and The Spring of Tampa Bay.
