Women of Distinction Magazine Selects Beckie Butcher as a Distinguished Professional in Her Field

Beckie Butcher will be featured in an upcoming edition of Women of Edition in 2016/2017.

ELGIN, IL, October 09, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Beckie Butcher, Self-Employed Biography and Cookbook Author, has been recognized with an Excellence Award as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Beckie Butcher will be featured in an upcoming edition of Women of Edition in 2016/2017.

Boasting more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Beckie Butcher began on a new venture as a published Author just over a decade ago. In 2005, she published her one and only cookbook called 'Feeding the Flock: Food for the Brood'. In 2007, after being diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, she followed up with 'My Battle with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome'. Initially inspired by a friend of hers to share her story to the masses by way of penning it to the world, it is her hope of to help others suffering from the same disease as she.

"I spent most of my career as a Lab Technician," Butcher noted. "I had hoped to do research for the disease one day, but if I'm never physically able to, I will continue to spread awareness about the illness instead."

Butcher's cookbook includes 150 recipes that she gathered from friends, family, and co-workers that include both old-fashioned and contemporary suggestions like Mom's Meatloaf, Roast Chicken with Citrus Salsa, Cappucino Pie, and Mom's Cherry Pie, as well as helpful hints, cooking tips, substitutions, cooking terms, food quantities, and a calorie counter. Meanwhile, 'My Battle with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome', which was published in March 2012, speaks about Butcher's experience with her serious and misunderstood autoimmune disease.

"My battle with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome tells of my journey from my very first symptoms to my treatment and physical, spiritual, and emotional recovery," Butcher said. "If you suffer from this disease, you are not alone; there is hope."

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome has deepened Butcher's faith enormously and she is greatly inspired by her ministers who are a constant reminder that no matter how sick she is, her life will forever have meaning. Thankful to her family, in particular her mother, as well as her dear friends and ministers, she relies on all of them for support when she needs it the most.
