FlowRider: Total Adrenaline and Safety Come to AquaWorld
-- Becomes Cancun's first FlowRider to open to public, fifth in all Mexico --

CANCUN, MEXICO, January 11, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- AquaWorld has tacked on to its arsenal of water fun with an attraction seldom seen in Mexico -- the FlowRider, an activity that combines the thrill of sport with unparalleled comfort and safety.

The attraction opened to the public Monday, January 9, 2017, at the AquaWorld marina located in Cancun's Hotel Zone.

"It's the perfect mix of many things -- fun, party, skate, surf -- it's quite entertaining," said Martin Carbonell, coordinator of FlowRider operations at AquaWorld Cancun. "It's a very dignified sport, one that involves self-improvement everyday."

Carbonell highlighted the total safety and ease of the FlowRider for users of all ages.

"The surface is really soft. It's like a trampoline," he added.

He said any person taller than 1 meter (39 inches) can do the "bodyboard" by lying down, and anybody taller than 1.20 meters (47 inches) can try it standing up.

WHAT IS THE FLOWRIDER?
The FlowRider's patent describes it as, "A wave-forming generator for generating inclined surfaces on a contained body of water," according to its official website.

The sport differs from surfing because of the position of the user's body, "but all in all it's the same interaction with water," Carbonell said. "If you know how to work out in water, it's easy to understand it."

AquaWorld's FlowRider is only the fifth one in Mexico, according to FlowRider's official website, and it can serve up to 560 customers a day.

It can also be ridden at night.

The attraction is paired up with a concession stand, which includes a bar, a restaurant, and a store focusing on water sport products.

Carbonell stressed that this FlowRider brings something new to Cancun's Hotel Zone, as it's the first one open to the public.

AquaWorld's newest attraction has a flexible daily schedule, which can be viewed and reserved online.

Founded in 1986, AquaWorld is known globally as a leading company specializing in water fun activities. AquaWorld is located in Cancun and Cozumel to ensure the entertainment of tourists from Mexico and from the entire planet. AquaWorld's mission is, "To guarantee our guests' fun in an environment of Safety, Quality and Warmth."
