LOS ANGELES, CA, August 05, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Formed over a decade ago, the 1933 Group changed the face of L.A.'s once drab bar scene by creating intoxicating environments in which to imbibe. A creative collaboration of designer Bobby Green and entrepreneurs Dimitri Komarov and Dmitry Liberman, the 1933 Group was named for the year prohibition was repealed. Appropriate title, given their passion for fine spirits and providing patrons with a feeling of being in a different time and place.

The Bigfoot Lodge, the Group's first location, brought a log cabin drinkery to Los Angeles. Passersby were intrigued by the facade of the bar. Nothing to speak of except a neon address, "3172." But once patrons passed through the velvet curtains, they were somewhere far away. The 1933 Group liked the feeling of the neighborhood bar with its smaller capacity, intimate space and great service, setting it apart from nightclub anonymity. The success of the Bigfoot Lodge inspired the trio to trek north to San Francisco to open its second location in the emerging neighborhood known as the Tender Knob.

In 2003 the 1933 Group found a gem of a location in L.A.'s east side neighborhood Highland Park. Its grotto-like feel with different spaces for mingling lent itself to the name the Little Cave. The vintage neon sign that attracts customers was found at a Silver Lake antique store. Over the next few years the Group brought the west side of Los Angeles' Saints & Sinners, an early 70s inspired lounge, and Bigfoot West, the third and most majestic of the Bigfoot Lodge trilogy.

The trio's most recent establishment, the Thirsty Crow in Silver Lake, takes patrons back to a time of early, post-prohibition America. It features an impressive selection of bourbon, whiskey and scotch along with a classic cocktail and champagne menu.

The 1933 Group has given bargoers an experience rather than just a place to drink. Their creativity and passion show through in each of their unique drinkeries. "Seeing our patrons enjoy what we have created gives us a huge feeling of accomplishment and drives us to do more of what we love." - Bobby Green
