Survey Shows iPad, Kindle, Other Electronics Among Most Desired Christmas Gifts in 2011

    BRADENTON, FL, November 30, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- SmartGiftShopper.com has released the results of an annual survey which asked 512 Americans "What is the #1 gift you would like to receive for Christmas 2011?" Survey data indicates that small electronics such as e-readers and tablets are among the top gifts requested.

While portable electronics dominate the survey results, other popular requests include jewelry (especially engagement rings), small appliances and home furnishings, gift cards or cash, and sports equipment.

Many survey respondents made more personal requests, such as "happiness for my children", "to see my dad", "for my mother to make it to one more Christmas" and "a kiss under the mistletoe from my girlfriend". Nine respondents indicated they wanted a car for Christmas, including one individual who asked for a Ferrari 458 Italia.
