Dirk Gierlach Named a VIP Member of Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Financial Services Transformation

Mr Gierlach has accrued more than 20 years of experience driving major business transformations for financial service organizations globally and has served as executive program director of ANZ for the past two years. Prior to joining ANZ, Mr Gierlach spent many years with Accenture, the global consulting, technology and outsourcing company. Between 1989 and 1995, he was a consultant with Accenture Germany and Switzerland. He then spent a year as a senior manager with Accenture Australia before becoming a partner in Accenture Germany, a post he held from 1997 to 2004. Mr Gierlach came back to Accenture Australia as an executive partner in 2005. He attributes his success to successful networking and his deep industry knowledge and subject matter expertise.

Mr Gierlach holds a diploma in business administration and applied informatics from the University of Cologne. He also studied economics at the University of Bonn. He is the author of several articles and books about program management, software ergonomics and user-interface design. In the near future, he intends to deliver major transformations at ANZ and advance his career in financial services.
