Tempest Elite Marketing MD Qaysar Bhatti says 'A Positive Mentality is Essential for Success'

Is the glass as half-full or half-empty? It's an age-old question which can be applied to business as in any other aspect of life. Tempest Elite Marketing examines how positive thinking can have a dramatic effect on the success of your business.

YORKSHIRE, ENGLAND, June 30, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- "From very early on in my entrepreneurial career, my mentors instilled in me the importance of having a positive mental attitude," says Qaysar Bhatti, Managing Director of Tempest Elite Marketing. "A story that always inspired me was the parable of the shoe salesmen. In the 1940s two salesmen went to Africa to sell shoes to a previously unexplored market. One admitted defeat after a month, complaining 'It's impossible - no one wears shoes here!' The second did not report back for several months. When his concerned superiors finally got in contact with him, he was ecstatic. 'This is an amazing opportunity - no one wears shoes here!' he says. A slightly archaic example maybe, but definitely an illustration of how the same situation can be viewed as both a setback and an opportunity, depending on the mindset of the person."

Business is full of stories of entrepreneurs beating the odds to achieve massive success.

Bert Jacobs is the founder of Life Is Good, a multi-million dollar clothing and merchandising company, and a firm believer in the importance of optimism in business. Life Is Good was founded in 1994 and for the first five years Jacobs and his brother were living out of a van, selling T-shirts. Jacobs believes his company's success is down to their positive mindset. "If you look around and see obstacles everywhere, you'll focus on obstacles and they'll be difficult to overcome. If your disposition is to see opportunities, you'll be drawn to them. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy."

Qaysar Bhatti of Tempest Elite Marketing summarises "The very nature of business means that there will be both good times and tough times. You cannot truly reap the rewards of your success until you have endured adversity. Even in the relatively stable field of direct sales and marketing, I have experienced lows as well as highs. Yes, it can be heartbreaking when a venture is not as successful as you would expect, but throwing in the towel is never an option. Look at anyone who has achieved massive success - for example Richard Branson - and there have been many failures as well as achievements. In my opinion it is not how much success you have which defines your character, but rather your ability to bounce back from any negative situation."

"At Tempest Elite Marketing we have a saying 'Tough times don't last but tough people do' and I honestly believe that an individual can have all the talent in the world, but if they do not have a successful business attitude - that is, a determination to win no matter what the circumstances - they will never become a successful business owner." concludes Qaysar Bhatti of Tempest Elite Marketing.
