Elizabeth J. Rodgers, RN, Recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Nursing & Neonatology

    New York, NY, February 5, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Elizabeth J. Rodgers, Registered Nurse at Bayada Home Health Care, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in nursing and pediatrics.

Ms. Rodgers has amassed a wealth of experience as a nurse providing patient care, monitoring vital signs, administering medications and IV fluids, feeding patients, working with babies, and educating parents. She was prompted to pursue a career in nursing by her desire to help children. Since graduating with a 4.0 GPA from the University of New Mexico in 2008, she worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico and currently lives and works in New York City as a pediatric home healthcare nurse.

Ms. Rodgers has gone on short-term mission trips with her church and an organization called Teen Mania, which is based out of Texas. She traveled to Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Poland and South Africa. She saw how other people lived in other countries, the poverty that they deal with and the social issues that come with it, and her recognition of these issues has given her more of an appreciation for what is available in the states, in terms of education and health care.

Ms. Rodgers received a Bachelor of Science from the University of New Mexico, and she is currently studying to be a pediatric nurse practitioner. She will complete her Master's degree from NYU in May 2013 and will become certified as a PNP in primary care. She attributes her success to her hard work and discipline and the support she has received from her parents. In five years, Ms. Rodgers intends to be working as a pediatric nurse practitioner in primary care. Eventually, she would like to establish an orphanage and clinic in Africa.
