"ENCHANTED - Love Poems and Abstract Art" - HerEthics Books' New Release

"ENCHANTED - Love Poems and Abstract Art" international anthology, comprised of seven contemporary poets and four artists, was released as an eBook.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN, March 18, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- HerEthics Books independent publisher is honored to announce the release of the international anthology of poetry and abstract art.

About the Book

In the background of every book is a story. "ENCHANTED - Love Poems and Abstract Art" is an attempt to return a kindness which was once given to a young, budding poet.

"I always found myself around the people who cared that I received all necessary support, encouraged me and helped me to refine my talent," said Gabrielle de la Fair, collector and editor of the anthology and continued. "They sent my poems to competitions, which I won, but alone would have never considered participating. They acted on my behalf so I got the recognition I deserve. Great poets of my time shook my hand and sat with me as with a partner. I think those experiences were more valuable for me than the diplomas and trophies from the competitions."

Today as an Editor-in-Chief of HerEthics Books she brought together distinctive generations of poetic talents on the international level.

Readers will find famous verses of renowned Romanian poet MARIETA MAGLAS, delicate lines of Canadian poet and novelist ANDREA McKENZIE RAINE, distinctive poetry of Russian-born New York-based poet MARGARET GUDKOV, as deeply touching lyrics of another New Yorker, HANK BEUKEMA, very promising works of San Diego-based talented, young poet and lyricist CHRISTOPHER NOVELOZO, visually rich expressions of Slovakian author ROBERT FRIEDRICH and beautiful haiku of UK based poet KENNETH JORDAN.

Love can wear many costumes; she likes to hold an exclusive role in everyone's private play. She comes as the touch of a butterfly's wing, but when she leaves, the entire world crumbles. Neither we nor the poets are in need of expressing the highest tides of love. But when the silence prevails after the ebb, then the yearning comes to fill again the space, so full while love was present. Melancholy is the principal mood of the anthology.

Poets are those rare species who spontaneously expose their beings without a fear of rejection. They exhibit the great courage to uncover the deeply hidden, sometimes darkest chambers of the human soul. But the most challenging, even for them, is to put into words the intimate feelings of love. Especially the love between man and woman.

The poets included in the anthology, indeed courageous, made the most intimate emotions materialize into the written words. Opening the book, the readers will find allies who understood what we feel, chose clear words and placed them on the right page.

"But this collection is more than the poetry." said editor and continued "I decided to combine contemporary love poems with the visual aspects of abstract art to engage all senses of readers and to speak especially to young people."

Visual artists tell their stories by applying paint to canvas, creating objects, experimenting with colors and shapes. They are communicating their thoughts and emotions in forms. There is not a surprise that some of the world's most famous painters gravitated to a written expression. Through their career, they were in a certain level involved in writing prose, poems, plays, philosophical discourses.

Michelangelo composed poems, Leonardo da Vinci left a wealth of natural philosophy, Picasso was obsessed with surrealist plays, and Salvatore Dali as did Andy Warhol wrote screenplays.

The human genius always strives to be expressed. Thoughts and emotions in visual arts transmit ideas while ideas written in words evoke images in reader's mind. Art and written words balance each other on a subconscious level and bring the sense of wholeness for their contributor.

Artists included in the anthology are compelled to express themselves visually and in a written form.

"Realistic and alive watercolors of Bulgarian artist living in the Bahamas KATERINA KOVATCHEVA, outstanding oil on canvas painted by Indiana-based artist RODNEY JONES, expressionistic art and perspective photography of Detroit-based young artist PATRICK FRALEY, and impressive and colorful fractal art of Slovakian artist MICHAL DUNAJ, each artwork is a story and I encourage readers to contemplate the artist's urge for creating it." said Gabrielle de la Fair.

"ENCHANTED - Love Poems and Abstract Art" is available as Kindle Edition on Amazon and its printed version will follow.
