Safe Call - ASF Sets New International Bank and Business Voice Command Telecom Standard

Distracted driving is the daily number one cause of accident harm and death! Does your business or 800 number encourage texting while driving with hazardous & outdated telephone prompt text messaging requests? ASF petitions IEEE, ISO.

LOS ANGELES, CA, June 05, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Distracted driving is the global number one cause of auto accidents, harm, and death!

This international crisis requires urgent education, training, and remedial safety measures including everything from simply communicating the important ASF slogan, "Eyes on the Road/Hands on the Wheel," to addressing the urgent need for banks and business to modernize their public telecom standards and practices to safely accommodate calls from those driving or even walking; all essential to help reduce the preventable loss of lives and serious injuries that occur each and every day.

All around the world 24/7, there is a great multitude of people calling businesses with mobile phones while driving. These calls while driving can only be placed safely and legally with hands-free devices, and can only be completed to banks and businesses with modern public telecom utilizing voice command that does not require hand or eye operatives. These same calls cannot be completed hands-free to businesses with hazardous and outdated telecom. For several years ASF has been alerting banks and businesses about the urgent need to replace the use of this dangerous and obsolete public telecom that encourages distracted driving with phone prompt requests (akin to requesting text messaging) by employing safe and modern voice command technology. Outdated public telecom requires Safe Call upgrades, see, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4WkuG-2G0A. (ASF is one "charity" that earns its tax-deductible donations as Safe Call upgrade usage requires the user to observe fair market value research compensation to ASF).

Today, it is important to note that automakers are equipping new vehicles with hands-free speech technology, such as Google Android Auto or Apple CarPlay (or mobile phone hands-free equipment is being brought on board) to help safely and legally address mobile phone use while driving. These new systems will not function with a business using outdated public telecom, making the requirement for the Safe Call upgrade all the more urgent. Upgrade your business telecom now, and join the ranks of Microsoft, Apple, Amtrak, United Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Airlines, Sheraton Hotels, Capital One, Discovery, Alliant Credit Union, Progressive Insurance, Farmer's Insurance, Geico, Allstate, Liberty Mutual, American Family Insurance, BMI, and the many socially responsible, and modern businesses, that now employ voice command telecom, thusly establishing standards and practices precedent, and the winning argument, for the observance of Safe Call recommendations by all businesses with public telecom as a new international standard. ASF now publically petitions, ISO, IEEE, ASFM. ASTM to acknowledge this new Safe Call international business telecom safety standard, and initiate their proceedings to accredit ASF with original authorship for copyright use of the Safe Call recommendations to become a new international business telecom standard.

In a continued road safety effort, starting on April 17, 2019 (years earlier for many banks) ASF served notice about hazardous telecom to the following companies by US mail, email, and telephone: Walmart, Google, Southwest Airlines, JetBlue Airlines Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Costco, Red Cross, ASCAP, Radisson, Hyatt Hotels, Hilton Hotels, Aero-Mexico, Mack Trucks, Caterpillar, USSA, State Farm, Nationwide, CVS, Tesla, Ford Motor, GM, Exxon, Gates Foundation, Cardinal Health, Chase Bank, US Bank, MetaBank, Hyundai China Airlines, Vonage, Travelers Insurance (CT), and just recently, Amazon headquarters. (Allow this current news release to serve as a public record of this notice. ASF hopes these companies will be socially responsible and act quickly to address these urgent issues for public safety!)

It was quite surprising to discover that huge tech companies like Google and Vonage were discovered apparently unaware about their obsolete telecom, as, in the case of Google, their public phone lines will not work even with their own products, such as Google Home, and Android Auto! Since ASF is now seeking Safe Call cause, marketing partners, maybe Google, or Vonage, will now see the wisdom and importance of this urgent matter and chose to partner for the good cause of driving safety and modern communications standards and practices. (Interested parties please contact ASF at the address listed on www.carsafe.org or [email protected]).

Additionally, and on another matter, will the reader agree with ASF, that any company selling their products in foreign lands, must observe the safety standards and practices of the country they export to? ASF has recently petitioned the NHTSA seeking regulation that requires foreign automakers to observe the safety standards now established by the United States "Big 3" automakers, Ford, GM, and Chrysler, see, https://www.regulations.gov/document?D=NHTSA-2019-0052-0001.

You can help make the roads safer by contacting your elected officials to back this ASF NHTSA Petition, and by apprising any business you find with outdated public telecom their need for the Safe Call upgrade.

The Automobile is the leader in auto safety research and development since 1988, and an authority on public business telecom in relation to driving safety. ASF is, therefore, qualified to alert all businesses worldwide of any telecom driving-related issues, that may be unsafe and a cause of driving or public endangerment, and petition IEEE, ISO for a new standard.

ASF requires fair market value research compensation, for the Safe Call upgrade that not only makes the roads safer but also modernizes and improves business telecom. As a non-profit organization, ASF is unique, as we earn our donations!
