Mr. James I. Morgan is renowned for his work in the development of computer languages and information systems for financial modeling, economic evaluation and business performance monitoring.

Mr. Morgan is a retired business scientist who was aligned with Dow Chemical Company in Midland, MI, for 35 years. Specializing in economics performance monitoring, he also found success as an operations research analyst for the Saint Regis Paper Company in New York City. While attending college, he served as a chemical plant operator and a foreman at the University of Colorado engineering experimental station in Boulder. Upon his retirement in 1992, Mr. Morgan excelled in volunteering and song writing, publishing his songs on the musings.site website.

Renowned for his work in the development of computer languages and information systems for financial modeling, economic evaluation and business performance monitoring, Mr. Morgan was originally a chemical engineering major. Switching his focus to business analytics, he worked primarily in the planning department, where he would track how well the company was doing economically. Comparing current results with the past, Mr. Morgan followed trends and found relationships between products and the economy and predicting what the business would look like in five to 10 years.

Mr. Morgan co-authored a chapter in "Production and Inventory Control Handbook" in 1970, 1987 and 1997. He has also contributed numerous articles to professional journals in his area of expertise and gave many talks at conferences and colleges. Furthermore, Mr. Morgan has developed numerous programs to generate graphs to make his work easier.

Active in education, Mr. Morgan was active as a trustee for the Midland Public Schools Board of Education between 1976 and 1984 as well as on an advisory committee at Delta College. Equally involved with his local United Methodist Church, he chaired the finance committee for the District Board of Missions and was a lay speaker and lay leader. Mr. Morgan is also a member, a treasurer and webmaster for the Kiwassee Kiwanis Service Club.

An alumnus of the University of Colorado, Mr. Morgan obtained a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering and Bachelor of Science in business management in 1955. He later graduated with a Master of Science in Operations Research from Case Institute of Technology in 1960. Moreover, he notably served for six months in the U.S. Army. Recognized by Creative 360 as Innovative Over 80 Person, Mr. Morgan is also a celebrated Marquis listee who has been cited in the third edition of Who's Who in Science and Engineering.
