Mr. Dillingham is renowned as an entrepreneur with nearly six decades of expertise in all areas of management, banking and business development. Initially graduating from Wentworth Military Academy in 1958 with an Associate of Science, he continued his education at the University of Missouri, earning a Bachelor of Arts in political science in 1961 and a Master of Science in public administration in 1962. From 1962 to 1964, Mr. Dillingham served his country as a first lieutenant in the United States Army, enlisting as a chapel officer for a guided missile battalion stationed in Korea before advancing as an aide to the assistant division commander at Fort Riley, Kansas.

From 1964 to 1968, Mr. Dillingham worked as a branch manager for the Rudy-Patrick division of W.R. Grace Co. in Mount Vernon, Illinois. He further flourished as the president of Sho-Hawk Industries from 1968 to 1972, at which point he accepted the position of the vice president of commercial loans for Traders National Bank in Kansas City. Mr. Dillingham would remain active with Traders National Bank until 1979, having found success as the senior vice president of sales and marketing for Garney Construction Company from 1979 to 1995.

Since 1985, Mr. Dillingham has additionally excelled as the president of the board of directors of Jo Dill Incorporated. He has also prospered greatly as the president of Dillingham Enterprises since 1997. The former chair of the Clay County Industrial Development Authority, Mr. Dillingham has notably consulted for clients including the University of Central Missouri, McDougal Construction and the Northland Board United Missouri Bank.

Involved in myriad community initiatives, Mr. Dillingham has contributed to charities including the Missouri 4H Foundation, the Kansas City Board of Police Commissioners and numerous educational organizations. Formerly, he had been appointed as a trustee of the Wentworth Military Academy and an executive board member of the Boy Scouts of America, who presented him with a 1992 Silver Beaver Award for his exemplary service. Mr. Dillingham has maintained his post at the president of the National World War Museum and the second chairman of Freedom Frontier National Heritage Area.

Mr. Dillingham's contributions to his business and community have been recognized with numerous awards, including a 1981 Faculty Alumni Award from the University of Missouri, a 1990 Quality of Life Award from the Northland Chambers of Commerce and a 1999 Spirit Award from the Government of Kansas City. He is also a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, the American Legion and the Knights of Columbus. In his leisure time, Mr. Dillingham enjoys fishing and landscaping while remaining enthusiastic about genealogy.
