In 2018, he was presented with the Who's Who in America Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Dr. Camp celebrates many years of experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Building on more than six decades of excellence in mental and behavioral healthcare, Dr. Camp has garnered a laudable reputation as a psychologist in private practice. He holds Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from the University of Wisconsin and completed postdoctoral coursework through the University of Chicago and the Mendota Mental Health Institute. During the early stages of his career, Dr. Camp taught and held director-level positions in Wisconsin and Illinois public schools, which led to the development of the District U-46 Department of Research and Development, the first of its kind in Illinois, outside the Chicago Public School System. Throughout the 1960s, he was affiliated with the Research and Guidance Laboratory for Superior Students at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and, in 1968, accepted a position at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, rising to become an associate professor in 1970. In addition to his instructional work, Dr. Camp served as the director of the University Counseling and Testing Center at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville before departing in 1981 to become chief psychologist for the Marinette Department of Health and Human Services, a role he held until 2004.

Since 1970, Dr. Camp has also cared for patients in a private practice setting in the Platteville and Marinette, Wisconsin, areas. He has also consulted for Lutheran Social Services and Catholic Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan area clinics, served as an evaluator and forensic psychologist, and supervised postgraduate students and pre-service counselors in internship settings. He continues to consult for the Wisconsin and Michigan Bureaus of Social Security Disability and to teach graduate-level coursework through Northern Michigan University and the University of Wisconsin System. Well regarded as an author, Dr. Camp has contributed extensively to professional journals, and is the author of "America's Education Press," "Parenting Our Children in a Changing World," and the recently released or soon to be released "Understanding and Managing the Difficult Child," "Understanding the Adult-Parent Relationship" and "Adlerian Counseling Theory and Practice" among other volumes.

Dr. Camp attributes his success to hard work, educational opportunity, and his dedication to being of service to others. Among many other awards and accolades recognizing his career commitment to excellence, he was presented with a 2013 citation from the Wisconsin Psychological Association and has been profiled in American Men of Science and the International Scholars Directory. Dr. Camp remains affiliated with the American Association of University Professors, the American Psychological Association, and the Wisconsin Psychological Association, and enjoys time spent in the outdoors and traveling.
