As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

A lifelong reader and lover of all things print, Mr. Emprimo became involved in his profession while pursuing his undergraduate degree. While earning an Associate of Arts and Associate of Science through Jacksonville College, he pursued a part-time job at the local library. Upon graduating in the early 1990s, Mr. Emprimo advanced through multiple roles at Jacksonville Public Library, serving as a Circulation Director and Head of Technical Services between 1994 and 2015. In these roles he performed a variety of duties, in his own words: "…pretty much anything that needed to be done, except Children's Librarian and Library Director."

After working for nearly two decades with the Jacksonville Public Library, Mr. Emprimo departed to join iClassPro, a software company based out of Longview, Texas. As Education/Documentation Specialist, he creates and maintains internal and public documentation on all aspects of the software, provides training support for clients and oversees occasional database work. In a career that has been filled with highlights, Mr. Emprimo is especially proud of the assistance he has been able to provide to others through his roles at the library and iClassPro.

Outside of his work, Mr. Emprimo has fostered his passion for writing, authoring The Newtonberg Stories, a series of books which chronicles the lives of the people in the small town of Piney Woods in East Texas. With his wife, Jill, he has established Leopold Press, a publishing imprint that will publish his own works as well as those of others. The Lion's Keep, the first novel by author D.M. Jackson is due for release later by Leopold Press later this year.
