LAKEWOOD, CO, May 17, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Elwood Armstrong Jr. has been included in Marquis Who's Who. After trying his hand at trimming horse hooves, Mr. Armstrong discovered a passion for the work. He completed an apprenticeship at Mesa Technical College and has been certified by the American Farriers Association. Since 1996, he has served as the chief executive officer of El Zapatero Equine Services.

Mr. Armstrong's business, El Zapatero Equine Services, is a three-part business that consists of a farrier business, a boarding facility and a school. He is also active as a teacher at the Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology. Aside from his primary vocational pursuits, he volunteers at Colorado Horse Rescue.

Amongst his many accomplishments, Mr. Armstrong is most proud of the work that he does in therapeutic shoeing, which entails treating horses who have had torn tendons, soft tissues problems or cracked bones. He attributes his success to providing good service, remaining professional and reliable and having a good competency for his work. He has notably placed sixth out of 15 in the World Championship for Blacksmiths. In the future, he intends to teach more and to give back to the industry.
