LOS ANGELES, CA, June 13, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Solutions on how to fall asleep quickly and improve sleep quality will be unveiled through the Korea Sleep Festa 2022 (hereinafter referred to as the Sleep Festa), which will be held for three days from June 17 to 19 at EXCO in Daegu. Organized by the DaeguGyeongbuk Textile Industries Association and EXCO, and hosted by Daegu Metropolitan City, Sleep Festa is a "sleep-focused exhibition" that celebrates its second anniversary this year. This year, 170 sleep-related companies, including premium bedding companies, will participate to introduce high-quality bedding and sleep-related products as well as sleep health solutions.

The optimal amount of sleep for newborn babies is 14 to 17 hours a day, and this optimal sleep time decreases little by little as we get older, so the "optimal sleep time" for adults is said to be about 7 to 9 hours. So, what happens if you sleep less or more than the 'optimal amount' of sleep? Not getting enough sleep or sleeping too much can be detrimental to your health and daily life, both physically and mentally.

From a physical standpoint, your risk of exposure to various diseases such as weight gain and obesity, weak immune function, high blood pressure, stroke, diabetes, and heart disease increases. From a mental and behavioral side, lack of sleep can cause a decrease in performance, shorter attention-span, increased frequency in mistakes, and depression. Conversely, studies have also shown that sleeping too much can cause obesity due to lack of movement and decreased endorphin secretion which can also lead to depression.

Ultimately, optimal sleep depends on the quality of sleep rather than the quantity of sleep. Sleep Festa is the exhibition where you can discoveranswersto optimal sleep.

Interest in the event is expected to increase as much as the number of participating companies in this year's Sleep Festa event. The number of participating companies for Korea Sleep Festa 2022 has doubled, and the exhibition space increased by 158% compared to the previous year.
