Having accrued over five decades of experience, Ms. Correll is a proven expert in the fields of health care, dietetics and lifestyle. In 1969, while in undergraduate school, she started working as a student dietitian for ARA in Philadelphia area hospitals and after graduation worked as a dietitian and director of food services in hospitals in North Carolina and later a large school district in Florida. In 1988, she started her private practice, Dietetic Consulting Services, Inc. as a registered dietitian working with corporate clients. By 1991, she started seeing private patients specializing in assisting patients and assessing their personal needs by creating personalized lifestyle programs to improve health and vitality, reducing and sometimes eliminating the need for medications. Furthermore, Ms. Correll is responsible for writing regular patient reports and monitoring the progress of her patients. As a Virtual Practitioner since 2015, Ms. Correll has perfected ways to follow up with her patients as well as provide nutrition support groups.
Prior to embarking upon her professional journey, Ms. Correll received a Bachelor of Science in medical nutrition therapy from Immaculata University in 1972. She subsequently earned a Master of Science in food science and technology from the University of North Carolina in 1979. In addition to her academic credentials, she is a licensed dietitian and nutritionist, as well as certified in Life Style Counseling. Ms. Correll was also an associate professor at an international university.
Over the course of her career, Ms. Correll has worked closely with vitamin and nutraceutical companies to develop superb product lines and dietary programs for her patients, understanding each of their individual needs. Furthermore, she attributes much of her success to the love and support of her husband and daughter, as well as the trust and loyalty of her patients. Ms. Correll has invested her time in helping dietetic students and is a preceptor for students becoming registered dietitians. She continues to accept patients and intends to write a series of books on bariatric nutrition.
