He is also a part of the football staff that has won four state championships consecutively, two while Mr. Stevenson was serving. The latest championship was won with an eighth grade QB who Stevenson mentors as he performed at a MVP level. Stevenson was also a faculty member of Mills College in Fairfield, Alabama. Joining the institution in 2021, he serves as a mathematics instructor, an intervention specialist, and the vice president of development for athletic programs and scholarships.
Recruited from the University of Tennessee (UT), Mr. Stevenson's distinguished tenure in education included serving as the director of player development from 2019 to 2021. His role encompassed preparing student-athletes both on the field and in the classroom, while also adhering to department and university policies and procedures and Southeastern Conference (SEC) and National Collegiate Athletic Association rules and regulations. Before joining UT, Mr. Stevenson served in the same capacity at the University of Alabama under Head Coach Nick Saban between 2013 and 2019 where he was instrumental in leading the team to win four SEC championships and two national championships.
Before transitioning into collegiate football and academia, Mr. Stevenson garnered 10 years of experience as the head football coach, athletic director and as a mathematics teacher at Vigor High School in Prichard, Alabama, from 2003 to 2013. Mr. Stevenson's stellar coaching skills at the high school resulted in his team ending the 2008 season with a perfect record of 15-0 and two state championship games during his tenure.

A talented writer and poet, Mr. Stevenson released a motivational poetry book called "Inspirations in Life: Inspired by Faith, Family, Friends, and Football" in 2018 via Whitman Publishing LLC.
Mr. Stevenson received a Presidential Scholarship upon his graduation from Huffman High School in Birmingham, Alabama. Becoming highly educated, he studied at Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University where he acquired a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics magna cum laude, followed by a Master of Education in Math Education. He also received professional educational leadership and administration certification through Samford University in Homewood, Alabama. Mr. Stevenson is notably a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc.
Honoring his achievements in academia, Mr. Stevenson was a two-time recipient of a Teacher of the Year Award and the 5A Coach of the Year Award. He also received a Champion of Life Award and the Lefty Anderson Service Through Coaching Award.
