Previously, he worked as the general manager of The Culinary Team, where he oversaw the operations of three divisions: The Bread Cellar, Gemma's Gelate, and the Tomato Flyer Pizza Truck. Over the years, Mr. Franklin has also served in management positions through Bakery de France, the DoubleTree by Hilton Boston North Shore, The Mason Inn Conference Center & Hotel, the Holiday Inn Express, and Cvent.
During the early stages of his career, Mr. Franklin gained valuable expertise in the hospitality industry with Sheraton Hotels, where he expanded upon the account base through competitive analysis and niche market research. Similarly, he has lent his considerable knowledge to such companies as Sheraton Crystal City, Fairview Park Marriott, Evergreen Country Club, and the Chantilly National Golf and Country Club. In order to remain abreast of changes in the field, he aligns himself with the Club Managers Association and the Hospitality Sales Managers Group.
Outside of his work, Mr. Franklin dedicates himself to his community through DC Central Kitchen. An expert in his field, he studied liberal arts and sciences at Robinson Secondary and received a Bachelor of Business Administration, as well as a hotel and restaurant management degree from James Madison University. In light of his outstanding body of work, he was honored for closing the largest individual CVV contract in Cvent's history and was named the Manager of the Quarter while at Marriott. Likewise, he received the Northstar Top Performer Award through Sheraton Reston Hotel and was named in the Top 10 Sales Producers in the Company via Sheraton Crystal City. Looking ahead, Mr. Franklin aims to make PM Hotel Group one of the premier locations to stay in the DC area and open a coffee shop with his wife.
