From 2016 to 2021, she held the position of large electric power product development manager. Ms. Waters began her storied journey at Caterpillar in 1998 as a service information author and engineer within the product support division, where she honed her skills in technical documentation for electric power generation commodities. She ascended through various roles over the years, including manager of engineering transformation from 2011 to 2014 and engineering supervisor from 2006 to 2010. Her tenure as an engineering design specialist from 2004 to 2006 further honed her technical expertise and problem-solving capabilities.

In addition to her professional achievements, Ms. Waters is deeply committed to mentoring and coaching emerging talents. Having been involved with the Society of Women Engineers since an early stage of her career, she is particularly dedicated to empowering women in traditionally male-dominated engineering fields. She has also been actively engaged with For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) as a First Robotics Competition (FRC) judge and volunteer since 2010, contributing her time and expertise to inspire young minds in science and technology.

Before venturing onto her vocational path, Ms. Waters earned a Master of Business Administration from Foster College of Business at Bradley University in 1997, following a master's degree in electrical engineering from Samara State Aerospace University in Russia in 1995. Her academic endeavors equipped her with a robust understanding of both business strategy and technical innovation, preparing her for her remarkable tenure at Caterpillar. Along with her education, she attributes her success to the unwavering support of her family, particularly her husband, parents and grandparents who have always believed in her.
