As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Currently serving as the director of product support at Caterpillar Inc. in Mossville, Illinois — where she has been for more than 25 years — Ms. Waters has established a distinguished career in the electrical power and engineering sector. Since 2022, she has led her team to enhance product support services, leveraging her extensive expertise in working with major organizations within the company. Her role involves strategic oversight and innovation, ensuring that Caterpillar's products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Prior to reaching her current position at Caterpillar, Ms. Waters was a sales manager from 2021 to 2022, during which she demonstrated exceptional leadership skills by assuming commercial responsibilities for the company's global hybrid energy solutions. Her ability to navigate complex market dynamics and deliver results was a testament to her strategic acumen and dedication to excellence. From 2016 to 2021, she held the position of large electric power product development manager. During this time, she played a pivotal role in advancing the company's product development initiatives, focusing on innovative solutions for large-scale electric power systems. Her contributions were critical in furthering Caterpillar's reputation as a leader in the manufacturing industry.

Ms. Waters began her storied journey at Caterpillar in 1998 as a service information author and engineer within the product support division, where she honed her skills in technical documentation for electric power generation commodities. She ascended through various roles over the years, including manager of engineering transformation from 2011 to 2014 and engineering supervisor from 2006 to 2010. Her tenure as an engineering design specialist from 2004 to 2006 further honed her technical expertise and problem-solving capabilities.

In addition to her professional achievements, Ms. Waters is deeply committed to mentoring and coaching emerging talents. Having been involved with the Society of Women Engineers since an early stage of her career, she is particularly dedicated to empowering women in traditionally male-dominated engineering fields. She has also been actively engaged with For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) as a First Robotics Competition (FRC) judge and volunteer since 2010, contributing her time and expertise to inspire young minds in science and technology.

Before venturing onto her vocational path, Ms. Waters earned a Master of Business Administration from Foster College of Business at Bradley University in 1997, following a master's degree in electrical engineering from Samara State Aerospace University in Russia in 1995. Her academic endeavors equipped her with a robust understanding of both business strategy and technical innovation, preparing her for her remarkable tenure at Caterpillar. Along with her education, she attributes her success to the unwavering support of her family, particularly her husband, parents and grandparents who have always believed in her.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Ms. Waters is passionate about giving back to her community. As a donor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, she supports vital research and health care initiatives that aid children and families in need. Happily married and a proud mother of three children, she enjoys playing the piano and dancing, activities that reflect her vibrant spirit and creativity.

Inspired by the support she has received throughout her career journey, Ms. Waters intends to dedicate the coming years to assisting others in turn through additional volunteering or mentorship roles. Her past accomplishments and future aims alike continue to cement her legacy of leadership, progress and helping others through all she does.
