Ms. Parra Harris's journey in law began with her role as a summer associate at Aran, Correa & Guarch, P.A. in her hometown of Miami during the summer of 1994. She then joined Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hiers in Atlanta, Georgia as an associate in 1996 on their litigation team after a successful summer associate clerkship during the summer of 1995. Her career progressed from Georgia to Jacksonville, Florida as she became an associate at the insurance defense firm of O'Hara Spradley, et al from 1997 to 1998. That year, she joined the litigation firm of Harris Guidi Rosner P.A. where she excelled for 18 years as the lead family law litigation attorney. In 2016, she founded Parra Harris Law where she realized her vision of a boutique bilingual firm specializing exclusively in family law litigation.

Ms. Parra Harris's academic background laid a strong foundation for her legal career. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English literature with a minor in secondary education from the University of Florida in 1992. She then pursued her Juris Doctor at Mercer University's Walter F. George School of Law, where she graduated in 1996. Her education was supported by a full tuition scholarship from Mercer Law School and a CLEO Fellowship, which were instrumental in her academic success.

Throughout her career, Ms. Parra Harris has been recognized for her leadership and contributions to the legal field and community. She has received numerous accolades, including the Jacksonville Business Journal's Ultimate Family Law Attorney award in 2019, and Ultimate CEO in 2021, and recognition as one of the Most Influential Hispanics of Northeast Florida by EcoLatino Magazine. Her dedication to civic engagement is demonstrated through her roles as chairman of the board of directors for Catholic Charities Jacksonville and chairman of the board of the Sulzbacher Center in 2024-25. Her peers at the Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association recognized her as Woman Lawyer of the Year in 2012 and she is a proud graduate of Leadership Jacksonville 2003 and Leadership Florida Cornerstone Class 39.

Ms. Parra Harris's professional affiliations further underscore her commitment to leadership and service. She is actively involved with the University of North Florida Hicks Honors College Leadership Council and has served as president of the Rotary Club of San Jose and founding president of the Hispanic Bar Association of Northeast Florida. Her past roles include chairing the Mayor's Hispanic American Advisory Board from 2011 to 2012 and serving as the president of Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association and the Rotaract of Florida's First Coast.

Ms. Parra Harris attributes much of her success to the mentorship and support she has received throughout her life, including from colleagues and judges. This guidance has been pivotal in shaping her career path and achieving expertise in law firm management and family law litigation.

In addition to her professional achievements, Ms. Parra Harris cherishes her personal life, which includes raising two sons with her husband, who is also an accomplished lawyer and community leader. She enjoys hosting themed parties, participating in book clubs and traveling with friends and family.
