At Skarin Law Group, he manages approximately 200 family law cases alongside four associates and other attorneys. His responsibilities include overseeing case management, conducting trials and depositions, responding to client correspondence and running the firm.

Prior to founding his own firm, Mr. Skarin was a partner at Feinberg, Mindel, Brandt & Klein LLP from 2017 to 2019. He initially joined the firm in 2008 as an attorney and specialized exclusively in family law litigation. During his tenure, he advanced from associate to partner, bringing in his own business and establishing himself as an expert in family law. His unique background in finance set him apart from other attorneys in the field.

Before embarking on his legal career, Mr. Skarin worked as a certified public accountant. From 2004 to 2006, he was employed at Deloitte, where he audited Fortune 500 companies. Prior to that, he worked at Miller & Company from 2002 to 2004, assisting small businesses and high-net-worth individuals with tax preparation. This financial expertise has been instrumental in his success as a family law attorney.

Mr. Skarin's academic achievements include a Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles in 2009 and a Bachelor of Arts in business economics with an emphasis in accounting from the University of California, Santa Barbara, in 2002. He is also a certified family law specialist through the State Bar of California and holds certification as a certified public accountant from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants.

His professional affiliations are extensive. Mr. Skarin is a fellow of the Southern California Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and a member of several organizations, including the Family Law Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Santa Monica Bar Association, the Association of Certified Family Law Specialists and the Los Angeles Regional Standing Committee Flexcom.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Skarin is actively involved in civic organizations. He supports Jenesse Center Inc., serves on the board of the American Academy for Certified Financial Litigators and was chair of the Family Law Section for the Santa Monica Bar Association from 2018 to 2019. His accolades include being named a Super Lawyer by Los Angeles Magazine from 2020 to 2024 and receiving recognition as one of the Best Lawyers from 2021 to 2025.

Outside of his professional life, Mr. Skarin enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, surfing and barbecuing.
