He currently serves as district sales manager II at Nevro, a role he has held since 2016. In this capacity, Mr. Plemons manages the company's most extensive territory, which encompasses Abilene, San Angelo, Midland-Odessa, Lubbock and Amarillo. He travels approximately 5,000 miles each month to support pain physicians and neurosurgeons throughout the region.

At Nevro, Mr. Plemons supervises two associate sales representatives based in Abilene and Amarillo and works closely with a remote therapy support specialist. His responsibilities include streamlining psychological evaluations, managing authorizations, overseeing trial phases and facilitating implant processes for patients using Nevro's devices. He is the primary point of contact for approximately 4,500 patients, providing ongoing support for device programming and optimization to ensure effective therapy outcomes. Each day, he interacts with 40 to 50 patients through calls or in-person visits, demonstrating his commitment to individualized care.

His expertise in time management and setting realistic expectations for patients with chronic pain is widely recognized. Drawing from personal experience with neck surgeries, Mr. Plemons approaches each case with empathy and honesty, tailoring solutions to meet unique patient needs while navigating system limitations. He is also an active member of PI Kappa Alpha International Fraternity.

Before his tenure at Nevro, Mr. Plemons spent nearly 11 years at Medtronic as a senior spine consultant for the West Texas area from 2008 to 2016. When he began at Medtronic, he inherited a territory with only one physician, but successfully expanded it into a sole-source account across the entire hospital system with four physicians. Under his leadership, territory revenue grew from $600,000 to approximately $5 million. His accomplishments include being named Core Spine Southwest Region Representative of the Year in 2010 and earning multiple President's Club awards, an honor reserved for top performers nationwide, as well as several sales excellence awards and quota achievements.

From 2006 to 2008, Mr. Plemons served as territory account executive and director of marketing at Preferred Imaging. In this dual role, he was responsible for expanding market presence and developing strategic marketing initiatives within the imaging sector.

Earlier in his career, from 2004 to 2006, he worked as an account executive at Sciele Pharma (formerly First Horizon Pharmaceuticals), where he gained foundational experience in pharmaceutical sales and client relationship management.

Throughout his professional journey, Mr. Plemons has demonstrated resilience and adaptability. These qualities have been especially valuable during periods of industry change such as the recent acquisition of Nevro by Globus Medical. Navigating this transition has presented new challenges and opportunities for growth as he adapts to working within a larger organization renowned for innovation in spine technology.

Mr. Plemons's academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in political science and government from The University of Texas Permian Basin in Odessa, completed in 2001. His education provided him with critical thinking skills and a strong ethical foundation that have supported his success in complex sales environments. Influenced by the examples set by his parents, Mr. Plemons values hard work and integrity, principles that guide his interactions with both colleagues and patients.

He initially considered attending physical therapy school after working in a clinic during college, but ultimately chose a career path that allowed him to help others through direct patient interaction without pursuing medical school. This decision led him into medical device sales, a field where he could combine his desire to make a positive impact with his strengths in communication and relationship-building.

Beyond his professional responsibilities, Mr. Plemons has previously been involved in civic organizations, such as Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, and participates in various church ministries that support his community. These commitments reflect his dedication to service both inside and outside the workplace.

His outstanding performance has been recognized through numerous awards, including two President's Club trips at Nevro, multiple sales excellence awards at both Nevro and Medtronic, President's Club – #5 in the Country at Medtronic in 2013, Rookie of the Year honors at Medtronic and several annual quota achievement distinctions.

Born in Odessa, Mr. Plemons enjoys spending quality time with his family, playing golf, snow skiing with his wife, Jennifer and children, Max and Evie, and traveling together whenever possible. With both parents working demanding jobs that require frequent travel, maintaining a work-life balance remains a top priority for their household.
