Since 2017, he has served as a superintendent at Kerricook Construction Inc., where he is responsible for reviewing daily plans and the scope of work for all trades, including electricians, plumbers, drywallers, framers, roofers and HVAC technicians. His role requires coordinating multiple tasks to ensure alignment with customer expectations and project goals, managing job site logistics, and strategically placing personnel to maintain workflow and meet deadlines. He actively supervises every aspect of each project, confirming quality and progress throughout all phases.

Prior to his current position, Mr. McGee was a project manager and superintendent at Abayla Contracting Service from 2007 to 2015. In this capacity, he oversaw project execution from inception to completion, demonstrating his ability to manage complex construction operations.

From 2001 until 2007, Mr. McGee held various job positions within the construction industry, honing his skills in site management and team coordination. Earlier in his career, he was a project manager at New England Glass and Door Company between 1995 and 2001. Here, he developed expertise as a glazier and commercial window, door and glass installer and fabricator.

Before embarking on his professional ventures, Mr. McGee served six years in the United States Army. The military provided him with invaluable experience, exposing him to a diverse range of people and instilling in him a strong work ethic. Having grown up in a small rural town in North Carolina and working as a farm laborer , he credits his military service with broadening his perspective and providing a pathway out of farm work. With this exposure he was a quick learner embracing the culture and interrupting the Korean language during his brief stay in that country as a soldier inspiring others to do the same.

After completing his military service, Mr. McGee relocated to California in search of new opportunities. He worked for the Los Angelas Unified School District in San Pedro, Ca. before joining the trucking industry and assisting seniors with transportation to appointments. Although he entered the construction industry as a carpenter, he was promoted to superintendent when his predecessor was dismissed, which allowed him to discover his aptitude for multitasking and project management. In addition, he operated a side business in construction consulting networking to assist start up companies find work and also served as a notary for the state of California for five years.

Beyond his professional responsibilities, Mr. McGee has been a member of the National Association of Buffalo Soldiers since 2013. He also volunteers with the Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club, underscoring his commitment to civic engagement and community service.
