WATAUGA, TX, November 20, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jeff Jacobs has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Earning recognition for his expertise and leadership in water and wastewater treatment design, Mr. Jacobs has established a prominent career of nearly two decades. Since 2007, he has served as a senior programmer designer at Gupta & Associates, Inc., where he is responsible for designing control systems and ensuring operational power for water and wastewater treatment facilities. His work encompasses nearly all aspects of treatment design, with a focus on delivering reliable and efficient solutions that support public health and community infrastructure.
Prior to joining Gupta & Associates, Mr. Jacobs excelled as an instrumentation specialist at WHF Electrical Contractors Inc. from 2002 to 2006. In this role, he applied his technical knowledge to the installation and maintenance of complex electrical systems, further honing his skills in troubleshooting and system integration. From 2000 to 2001, he contributed as a staff engineer at Westin Engineering Inc. — where he supported engineering projects that advanced municipal water management practices.
Between 1997 and 2000, Mr. Jacobs was a project engineer at U. S. Data, where he played a key role in developing and implementing data-driven Supervisory control and data acquisition system solutions for industrial clients. His early career began at Vinson Process Controls — which provides industrial solutions within the oil and gas sector — where he served as a system specialist from 1988 to 1996. There, he gained much of the foundational experience in process automation and control technologies that would inform his later achievements in wastewater treatment.
In addition to his professional roles, Mr. Jacobs is deeply involved in industry events and organizations. For over 15 years, he has attended the annual Texas Water Conference, an event that attracts nearly 10,000 professionals from across Texas and around the world. As the statewide coordinator for the electrical event within the Operations Challenge at the conference, he designs tasks, selects judges and oversees teams as they address complex electrical issues under time constraints. He has also given a public presentation at this highly competitive conference, demonstrating his commitment to sharing insights, networking and advancing industry knowledge.
Dedicated to continuous development and staying abreast of best industry practices, Mr. Jacobs is a member of both the Water Environment Federation and the Water Engineering Association of Texas. He is recognized for his unique breadth of experience across multiple roles — including controls equipment supply with Fisher Controls, installation and electrical work, consulting, programming and software design for equipment operation — which allows him to serve a wide range of clients and communities.
Before venturing onto his vocational path, Mr. Jacobs completed coursework in instrumentation technology at Texas State Technical College-Amarillo in 1988 as well as coursework in electrical engineering at both Frank Phillips College in 1986 and St. Louis Community College from 1983 to 1985.
Largely self-taught beyond his formal studies, Mr. Jacobs credits his success to a strong dedication to lifelong learning and an emphasis on listening closely to clients' needs in order to deliver practical solutions. Prioritizing reliability and long-term performance in his designs — particularly for pumps and electrical gear — he strives to provide systems with a life span of at least two decades. He adheres to the belief that effective consulting requires identifying optimal approaches rather than simply adopting new technologies.
Beyond his technical contributions, Mr. Jacobs also mentors younger and aspiring engineers, happy to share his knowledge to nurture the next generation of water treatment and public service professionals. Though his storied journey counts many milestones, his proudest achievement is the family life he shares alongside his wife and their son and daughter.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Jacobs aims to continue growing Gupta & Associates throughout Dallas and the State of Texas by improving service efficiency and reducing costs while ensuring that clean, safe drinking water remains reliably available despite evolving challenges such as regulatory changes and emerging contaminants. His goal is to streamline processes further to meet these demands while maintaining public trust in water systems, reflecting his longstanding legacy of leadership, adaptability and helping others through all he does.
