GIRARD, OH, November 20, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jillian L. Fader has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mrs. Fader has established herself as a leader in recreational dance education and inclusive, community-focused studio management. Since 2020, she has served as both owner and instructor at The Dancing School, where she teaches students from age 3 through graduation and beyond. Her approach centers on providing a strictly recreational dance program, eschewing competition in favor of personal growth and allowing each dancer to learn at their own pace. Committed to making dance more accessible, she welcomes students of every socioeconomic status and body type and promotes the philosophy that dance is for everyone. In addition to their amazing recitals, she organizes fundraisers that bring together other local studios and unite the dance community. She also takes her dancers to perform at local college sporting events, nursing homes, and other parades and local functions to deepen The Dancing School's impact throughout the community. Though recreational, TDS dancers are truly talented and work hard to hone their phenomenal skills and stage presence to shine on every stage.
Committed to ongoing professional development and maintaining best practices at The Dancing School, Mrs. Fader is an active member of prominent organizations including Dance Masters of Ohio, the National Dance Education Association, and Dance Masters of America. Furthermore, she is certified as a dance master through Dance Masters of America and holds credentials in Acrobatic Arts as well as in Zumba instruction. Beyond her professional commitments, Mrs. Fader is civically engaged with organizations such as the American Heart Association — a connection further strengthened by her studio's involvement in fundraising initiatives like Teen of Impact. Her achievements and dedication to community enrichment have seen her recognized with the Reader's Choice Gold Award, received from The Vindicator in 2024.
Hailing from an equally accomplished academic background, Mrs. Fader earned a master's degree in biology from Youngstown State University in 2016 and a bachelor's degree in biology with minors in chemistry and dance from the same institution in 2013. During her graduate studies, she worked in a behavioral neuroscience lab and completed her thesis research entitled "Empathy-Like Behavior in Social Housing." Determined to aid her fellow students as well, she served as a teaching assistant at Youngstown State from 2014 to 2016 in undergraduate biology courses. During her collegiate endeavors, she performed with and choreographed for the YSU Dance Ensemble and attended the American College Dance Festival.
Mrs. Fader became involved in dance education out of a deep passion for both dance and teaching. Though she initially pursued higher education with interests in medical or doctoral studies related to biology, she found that nothing compared to the fulfillment she found through dance instruction and building relationships within her community. This realization led her to establish The Dancing School with an emphasis on inclusivity and artistry. She is a dance educator by night and a science educator by day.
Mrs. Fader holds a Professional Educator License in 7-12 Science. She has contributed significantly to local education through her teaching position at Girard High School. She has been a science teacher there since 2017, where she develops curricula and fosters student engagement in integrated and environmental science, microbiology, and forensics.
Her favorite role at GHS; Mrs. Fader has served as Girard High School's majorette advisor since 2018. She loves seeing her baton students gain skills and eventually progress to take their first twirls and marches on the field, and seeing her majorettes improve throughout their years on the line. Her favorite things about coaching are the friendships and teamwork that develop from the long hours spent at band camp and performances. Additionally, she acted as the majorette advisor at Campbell Memorial High School for two seasons prior to coaching at Girard.
A defining moment in Mrs. Fader's career occurred when The Dancing School hosted an event called the Beat in 2024. This event was held to support one of her longtime students, Sophia, who was participating in the Teen of Impact campaign organized by the American Heart Association. Inspired by her mother's heart health journey, Sophia was driven to raise funds for heart health awareness. With the support of her studio community, Sophia was named the Teen of Impact. This achievement not only highlighted Sophia's growth but also unified the local dance community around a meaningful cause, representing a full-circle moment for Mrs. Fader and encapsulating her dedication to nurturing both personal development and collective spirit.
Prior to becoming a studio owner in 2020, Mrs. Fader gained much of her teaching experience at the Patti Finelli School of Dance- in the studio where she grew up and eventually became a teacher. Mrs. Fader always valued the acceptance and fun she had dancing growing up and aspired to create a space for students to experience the same sense of belonging. She is very grateful for all of the opportunities for growth and learning she was given by Mrs. Patti and for the support she still receives.
Mrs. Fader faced a significant challenge in 2025 when a car crashed into her studio while she was away coaching majorette. Though it resulted in no injuries, the incident caused substantial damage to the waiting room and studio space. Despite the stress and disruption — including canceling summer classes — she managed the repair process efficiently, reopening for the new season by mid-September with necessary adjustments. She expressed her gratitude for the patience shown by parents and students during this period and is now considering additional safety measures for the future. She is most thankful that all of the dancers were safe!
Mrs. Fader supports her husband's business endeavors through managing social media pages for The Supplyroom; a local store dedicated to meeting the needs of educators and supplying them with valuable classroom and learning materials. It is not uncommon for Mrs. Fader to work fifteen plus hours, or three jobs in one day. Though her schedule is busy, and oftentimes chaotic, her sense of fulfillment from achievement in each of her roles is priceless.
Reflecting on her storied journey thus far, Mrs. Fader attributes much of her success to the unwavering support system surrounding her — including her husband, her parents, her family, her dance teachers, her dedicated staff members, and her supportive dance families — who have encouraged her ambitious ideas and helped her navigate the challenges of business ownership.
Looking to the future with determination, Mrs. Fader plans to continue dedicating herself to The Dancing School's mission. She may look to expand The Dancing School by increasing event participation and eventually relocating to a larger venue capable of accommodating more dancers within her growing community. She describes herself as, "The luckiest little dance teacher at the best little studio with the biggest heart." Her ongoing objective is to nurture individual growth among all her students while helping them reach their fullest potential as dancers, embodying her longstanding legacy of helping others through everything she does.
