Mrs. Elwess' professional journey includes significant roles that have shaped her career trajectory. Prior to joining Creative Countertops, Cabinets and More, she contributed her talents to Mid Valley Doors, where she further honed her design acumen and management skills. She also served as a project specialist for interior designs at Lowe's, leveraging her ability to oversee complex projects and collaborate with diverse teams.

Contributing to Lowe's in multiple specialties, Mrs. Elwess also excelled as a kitchen designer, where she developed innovative layouts and provided expert guidance to clients seeking functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces. Earlier in her career, she was affiliated with Tema Contemporary Furniture, gaining valuable experience in contemporary design trends and client communication.

Mrs. Elwess' leadership within the industry is underscored by her election to the executive committee of the Home Builders Association of Central New Mexico, where she also serves as a national delegate. Her involvement with the Alignable Alliance — a networking platform that connects small business owners with partners and clients — further demonstrates her commitment to professional development. Also happy to share her knowledge and experience with the next generation, she has mentored young women who aspired to pursue design certificates of their own.

Much of Mrs. Elwess' success in the industry stems from her academic background, which includes a bachelor's degree in interior design from the Art Institute of Phoenix in 2002. The roots of her career can be traced back to 1990 when, after graduating from high school and marrying a builder who specialized in large custom homes in southern New Mexico, she was invited to assist his clients with selecting home features. This formative experience revealed her natural aptitude for design and set the stage for her consulting accomplishments.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Mrs. Elwess is actively engaged in civic and charitable endeavors. She has participated in fundraising efforts for Make-A-Wish of New Mexico and Special Olympics of New Mexico as well as charity work with Haven House, which provides temporary shelter and mental health services for young individuals and families who face homelessness.

In her personal life, Mrs. Elwess is happily married and a proud mother of one son and grandmother of four. She enjoys traveling and watching Star Wars, with her fandom of the franchise extending to her involvement with the 501st Legion costuming organization.
