He began his professional journey at National Envelope in New York City while still attending college. Over nearly a decade, from 1996 to 2005, he advanced from customer service representative to outside sales representative, then became sales manager for the eastern United States. Following National Envelope's acquisition, he joined International Paper as a product specialist.
