Since 2015, he has served as co-founder and senior managing director of AmbroseAdvisors LLC, where he advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) transactions, capital structure optimizations and succession planning strategies. Under Mr. Chou's leadership, AmbroseAdvisors has become known for its work in the ESOP advisory space, helping business owners evaluate employee ownership as an alternative to traditional sale processes. Before co-founding AmbroseAdvisors, Mr. Chou served as executive director at Eureka Capital Markets, LLC from 2009 to 2015, where he advised middle-market companies on strategic and financial transactions. Earlier in his career, he was vice president at BCC Partners LLC from 2005 to 2009, focusing on investment banking and succession planning advisory services. He also served as a portfolio manager at Far East National Bank from 2004 to 2005, where he gained experience in portfolio management, credit analysis and financial underwriting. Mr. Chou began his professional career with PCCW between 2000 and 2002, where he developed early experience in corporate operations and international business.

Active within the profession, Mr. Chou is a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) and serves on the finance committee of The ESOP Association. He also serves on the advisory board for the finance department at University of Nevada, Las Vegas, supporting the development of future finance professionals.

Mr. Chou earned a Master of Business Administration in finance from the Paul Merage School of Business in 2002 and a Bachelor of Arts in economics from University of California, Berkeley in 2000. He has also completed all four parts of the Certified Public Accountant examination, and holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 registrations as well as the Certified Exit Planning Advisor designation.
