Michael V. Doyle, Ph.D. Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who Executive, Professional and Entrepreneurial Registry

    EAST LANSING, MI, April 1, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michael V. Doyle, Ph.D., Movie Theater and Communications Consultant, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of pop culture.

With 30 years of experience in the communications industry, Mr. Doyle currently consults and lectures on historical Hollywood films, theaters in Michigan, theatre architecture and film memorabilia of the 1940s and 1950s. He gives lectures in the community to seniors about movie history and is a consultant and host for Loeks Theatres, introducing classic film series in Lansing, Michigan. He is the author of four books, "Gerald R. Ford Selected Speeches" in 1973, "American West On Film: The Agrarian Frontier" in 1996, "Michigan Movie Theatres: A Pictoral History" in 2003 and "Boxoffice Open: Michigan Small Town Movie Theatres" in 2005. He collects motion picture posters from all over the world and currently has over 1,000 in his personal collection. He attributes his success to his interest in exploring all aspects of film and theater. Mr. Doyle is a former communications professor at Michigan State University.

Mr. Doyle received a Ph.D. in Speech from Michigan State University in 1969 where he is a honorary member of the Varsity Alumni "S" Club and an advisor for Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. He is affiliated with the Historical Society of Michigan, the Theatre Historical Society of America and the Communication Association of America. In 2003, he was honored with an award for publishing scholarly contributions by Michigan State University Libraries. Mr. Doyle hopes to continue writing, collecting and speaking about movie memorabilia in Michigan.
