With nearly 25 years of experience in the pet care industry, Ms. Moore trains dogs in the areas of basic training, obedience, and off-leash training as a trainer for Golden State K-9 Training. While she trains all breeds, she especially enjoys training large-breed dogs. Golden State K-9 Training specializes in working with personal protection dogs; the company customizes the training for private clients and businesses.

Driven by her developed, deep love for animals, Ms. Moore has personally owned and fostered all breeds of dogs, including German Shepherds, Labrador Retrievers, Catahoula Hounds, Cockapoos, various mixed breeds and more, which has enhanced her breed-specific knowledge and experience. Additionally, she has attended numerous seminars covering advanced behavior studies, aggression, guide dog training, health and nutrition, problem behavior evaluation and solving, training techniques and methods, and therapeutic massage. Ms. Moore's areas of expertise include the causes, treatments, and management of canine aggression; animal assisted therapy, foster and service dogs, functional obedience, obedience training and instruction, pet placement, and temperament testing.
Over the course of her career, Ms. Moore has cultivated effective verbal skills that allow her to deal with a range of clients, including those who are disabled. She helps her clients by "reading" and explaining dog behavior, as well as educating on responsible dog ownership, general handling skills, puppy development schedules and equipment use and misuse (such as collars, harnesses, leashes and clickers). Ms. Moore handles house soiling prevention and compulsive behavior modification. When it comes to a dog's wellbeing, she possesses extensive knowledge of canine anatomy, health, nutrition and both traditional and alternative medicine. She also excels in training shy, timid and phobic dogs.

Ms. Moore attributes her success to her passion for animals and business abilities, having studied business at various community colleges. She is a certified by Pet Sitters International as a professional pet sitter and holds certification in pet first aid from the American Red Cross. A member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, Ms. Moore lives in Southwest Charlotte, N.C. where she enjoys spending time with her her dogs, Kolby, Sasha, Erin, and Dreyfus. She also volunteers at the Animal Adoption League and her local Humane Society.
