Mary Fran Cassidy Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who Executive, Professional & Entrepreneurial Registry

    /24-7PressRelease/ - Dublin, OH, April 30, 2008, Mary Fran Cassidy, Director of Religious Education for St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in religious education.

Ms. Cassidy has more than 39 years of professional experience in religious education and 19 years of experience as the director of religious education for St. Brigid of Kildare Parish. Her daily responsibilities include organizing programs, conducting workshops and retreats for musicians, teaching pre-kindergarten students, developing resources for teachers, implementing adult faith enrichment workshops, coordinating retreats, instructing sacramental classes and collaborating with the rite of Christian initiation for adults.

As Founder and Director of The Dublin Singers, the community chorus of Dublin, Ohio, Mary Fran also presents annual chorus and choreography workshops fort the singers, plans and directs an annual Christmas concert and spring show.

A licensed educator, Cassidy received her M.A. in Theology from Ohio Dominican University, Columbus, Ohio, in 2003 and earned her B.A. in English and music from Silver Lake College, Manitowoc, Wisconsin, in 1975. She is a member of the Consult Sadlier Religion Division. Ms. Cassidy has published a supplemental textbook entitled Faith and Belie and is the founder of The Dublin Singers. She attributes her success to her faith in God, teachers, mentors, work ethic and the support she receives from her family.

Cassidy has presented workshops for the Sadlier Company, Religion Division, in Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee and Indiana. She also presented interest sessions at the Ohio Catholic Education Association Conferences and at Diocesan Faith Formation Congresses. Cassidy directed retreats in the greater Columbus, Ohio area. In 2007, the Center for Learning published Faith and Belief, her supplemental textbook for junior high religious education.
