May Leng Yau-Patterson Named Professional of the Year in Automobile Manufacturing

May Leng Yau-Patterson handles supply chain planning for all of Chrysler's new product launches

    AUBURN HILLS, MI, November 17, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- May Leng Yau-Patterson, Head of Manufacturing Planning and Control for Chrysler Group LLC, has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Automobile Manufacturing. As Head of Manufacturing Planning & Control, May Leng Yau-Patterson specializes in manufacturing production control business strategy development. In her position with Chrysler LLC, she is responsible for manufacturing supply chain planning for all new product launches, in addition to managing production control operations for all of Chrysler's manufacturing and assembly plants located in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

Ms. Yau-Patterson leads the development of lean supply chain solutions which includes the design and implementation of innovative parts handling, packaging techniques and logistics methods to ensure the successful launch of every new vehicle and power-train program. Ms. Yau-Patterson's responsibility also spans into controlling production schedules, and managing inbound parts supply from suppliers to production line and outbound finished products, and associated supply chain operating costs for all of Chrysler's 28 stamping, engine, transmission powertrain component and vehicle assembly plants.
