New Honors For FivePoint's Great Park Neighborhoods In Irvine, California

Awards Underscore Market Success Of This Modern Classic Community

    IRVINE, VA, March 06, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A recognized favorite with Irvine homebuyers, Beacon Park is also an award-winning place to call home, honored in prominent competitions of the homebuilding industry. Beacon Park is the second of the Great Park Neighborhoods (GPN), the FivePoint master-planned community launched in 2013 with Pavilion Park.

Validating FivePoint's "Delivered As Promised" message, brisk sales complement GPN's awards story. The community's new home sales are up 90% over 2015, and Beacon Park accounted for the bulk of 2016's 535 sales. Overall sales pushed Great Park Neighborhoods into the No. 9 spot in the U.S., up from No. 42 in 2015 (January 9 Orange County Business Journal).

Dynamic Marketing--recent accolades came in The Nationals, a national competition that notes achievement in community design and new home marketing and advertising. Sharestream, a revamped Airstream that is Beacon Park's rolling lifestyle ambassador, took a Gold Award for Best Special Promotion, while well-targeted direct mail earned a Silver Award. Winners were celebrated at the 2017 International Builders Show in Orlando, Florida. Sponsor is the National Sales and Marketing Council of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).

Beacon Park's lively, inclusive marketing also took honors in The SoCal Awards, for Sharestream, Lunar New Year promotion and advertising. Sponsor is The Greater Sales & Marketing Council and BIA of Southern California.

Neighborhood Planning--In the 2016 Gold Nugget Awards, Beacon Park earned Awards of Merit for new homes, community amenities and site planning that encourages neighborly dynamics and active lifestyles. Beacon Park earned similar honors from Professional Builder in its Design Awards.

Affordable Seniors Housing--Solaira, the first affordable apartment community in Irvine in more than 20 years, took Gold Nugget Merits for seniors housing and affordable housing. Situated in Pavilion Park, Solaira won a Silver in Best In American Living Awards (BALA), sponsored by NAHB and Professional Builder to honor innovative builders, architects, developers and land planners. A collaboration of FivePoint, Related California and Riverside Charitable Corporation, Solaira was a Finalist as an active seniors community, in the SAGE program for Orange County.

Connectivity--The Irvine Boulevard Bicycle and Pedestrian Bridge, was named Bridge Project of the Year by the American Society of Civil Engineers/Orange County; and Project of the Year by the Southern California Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA). A joint effort of FivePoint and the City of Irvine, the bridge links families living north of Irvine Boulevard to Orange County Great Park, and serves Beacon Park School's K-8 campus, and Portola High School.
