TAMPA, FL, March 10, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Nissan has been sharing its sense of humor with the world with its "self-cleaning" Nissan Leaf as it launches its new social media campaign. It is the first of a series of prank videos meant to promote the automaker's special repellent paint technology. (1)
Daring its fans to get dirty right alongside the "world's cleanest car," Nissan has covered its zero-emissions vehicle with self-cleaning Ultra-Ever Dry nano-paint technology. The special paint remarkably helps to repel almost any liquid that may come its way. (2)
The first online video, entitled "The Nissan Paint Prank ft. the World's Cleanest Car, " was launched to help jump-start the campaign and features a Nissan Leaf covered with the Ultra-Ever Dry repellent paint. With two actors playing the role of crew painters and standing beside the all-electric hatchback, passersby are duped into thinking they spilled paint on a brand new car, only to discover that the Leaf cannot get dirty. Nissan has also posted a "Guess the Mess' challenge on Instagram that allows fans to guess the liquid being poured on the Leaf armed with the special paint. As a follow-up to this concept, fans then have the opportunity to decide what gets poured on the one-of-a-kind car in a set of videos entitled "Will it Stick?" (2)
The automaker is willing to throw just about anything on its self-cleaning car from ketchup to eggs to honey. All participants also have the chance to win a gift card for a car wash. (2)
The 2015 Nissan Leaf is a zero-gas, zero-emissions vehicle that has an EPA-estimated driving range of 84 miles when fully charged and comes available with features like Around View Monitor and hands-free text-messaging assistant. (2)
