CORONA, CA, July 22, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Pardee Homes' Sundance, located in Beaumont, was recently named the 39th top-selling master-planned community in the U.S. for the first half of 2018. With 198 home sales during that period, Sundance surpassed its 2017 sales rate by 25 percent.
For more than a decade, Sundance has provided families with a picturesque setting that offers tree-lined parkways, intimate parks and neighborhood pools, stunning mountain vistas, a multitude of convenient services and shopping, good schools, easy access to recreational activities in Palm Springs and the San Bernardino Mountains, and an impressive collection of single-family homes in a wide range of styles and sizes to appeal to first-time to move-up home buyers.
Sundance is located in the thriving Inland Empire and is one of only three area master-planned communities to make the mid-year list. Among the other master-planned communities in the region were Brookfield's New Haven in Ontario Ranch, ranked 34 with 214 sales, and The Preserve at Chino by Lewis Communities, ranked 44 with 183 sales.
Every year since 1994, RCLCO (formerly Robert Charles Lesser & Co.) has conducted a national survey identifying the top-selling master-planned communities in the United States through a rigorous search of high-performing communities in each state. In this update for mid-year 2018, they surveyed communities throughout the country to establish the updated rankings following the release of The Top-Selling Master-Planned Communities of 2017. The Villages in Florida was named No. 1 with 1,115 new homes sales.
According to Todd Larue, managing director, and Karl Pischke, senior associate, of RCLCO, home sales at the nation's 50 top-selling communities were strong in the first half of 2018, with a total increase of nearly 7% over the first half of 2017. Texas, Florida and California account for 62% of total sales among the 50 top-selling communities. They also noted that buying trends in California are relatively consistent with last year, with young families and empty nesters the primary purchasers of new homes in master planned communities. They reported that one recurring theme among California communities, as well as throughout the country, is that buyers are increasingly searching for affordable, lower-priced homes. Homes at Sundance are priced starting from the very low $300,000s.
"We continue to develop products in our master-planned communities that appeal to both the entry level buyer, with small-lot options, as well as move-up products for families who have grown and desire more space and amenities," said Mike Taylor, division president for Pardee Homes. "There are currently five new home neighborhoods now selling at Sundance in Beaumont and we are excited to introduce four additional collections at Altis this coming Fall, our very first active lifestyle community. Altis will feature single-level living and resort-style amenities, priced from the low $300,000s, for adults 55 and up."
