Germain, a retired technician for the Investment Information Division of American Family Mutual Insurance, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of financial services.

For more than 80 years, American Family Mutual Insurance has brought security and peace of mind to many families by securing their most valuable assets. As a member of the company's investment team, Phylis K. Germain assisted in the development of plans that would protect financial ventures and ensure client satisfaction. Her role as an investment information technician placed her in a unique position to combine traditional knowledge with new-age technology as she prepared and entered reports into the computer system. Ms. Germain also carefully tracked stock trades and splits, mergers and acquisitions, payable dividends, and equities to inform clients of their account progress. Her 42 years of experience in the profession not only offered confidence in her capabilities, but more importantly, established relationships built on mutual trust and respect.

Ms. Germain's decision to become a financial professional seemed an unlikely turn from her original career pursuit, which was interior design, although she received an associate degree in accounting from Madison Area Technical College in 1986. However, the exacting skill and attention to detail necessary to exceed in both fields would carry her through a successful tenure with the company that lasted nearly 25 years. Working with others who shared similar interests and capabilities sharpened her skill set and motivated her to continue excelling at her job until her retirement. In a world where technological advancements are implemented at the speed of light, Ms. Germain advises professionals in all walks of life to stay ahead of the curve and on top of their game. One who consistently challenges herself to achieve new standards of excellence, she encourages others to do the same.

Now that she is able to enjoy her free time, Ms. Germain loves traversing the great outdoors in her RV, making crafts, and singing in the Madison Diocesan Choir. She also makes Barbie furniture for her great-nieces and other items for her great-nephews.
