Born in Maswa, Tanzania, Mr. Sangani moved to the United Kingdom in 1970, where he owned various news stands and grocery stores. He moved to the United States in 1982 because he wanted to create more career opportunities for himself. As a result, Mr. Sangani became established as a business man, owning convenience and liquor stores, gas stations and motels.

Currently, he is the owner of AZ General Contractors Inc. After he reconstructed and refurbished his own businesses, he decided to venture into the contracting industry. He is a member of the local cultural center in Jacksonville, Fla. He owns 233 acres of land, and in the future, he hopes to breed cows.
