IRVINE, CA, December 06, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Possessing good leadership and communication skills is essential for professionals in managerial positions. However, many professionals may possess these skills but not know how to harness them for leadership development. The study of neuroleadership is an emerging field focused on bringing brain science into the world of leadership. The University of California, Irvine Extension recognizes the importance of how neuroleadership can transform how people think, develop and perform. In response, a free online webinar titled, "Your Brain on Leadership Part 2" will be held Tuesday, Dec. 10 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. PST. The webinar will focus on bringing brain science into the world of leadership.

The webinar will be hosted by Jennifer McCusker, Ph.D., Director of Global Talent Management and Retail HR at Oakley Inc. McCusker has spent the past 10 years studying the concept of customer experience management and brings a very different perspective that challenges conventional thinking. Webinar attendees will have an opportunity to understand her passion for experience management and how the study of neuroleadership is influencing the work being done in areas such as coaching, performance management and change management.

"In the face of more and more competition in the business world, understanding how to lead and motivate within an organization can strengthen a company," said Angela Jeantet, director of UC Irvine Extension's education and business programs. "Jennifer's enthusiasm for this topic is evident and webinar participants will learn more about how to become an agent of change for their company."
