Monday, February 19, 2007 - Qigong and Self-Healing workshop from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Learn more about this form of energy work and exercise used to restore or maintain health. Presented by Dr Fang of Annapolis. He will provide us with a combination of Traditional Chinese Medicine and his own personal experience to help you improve your health.
Tuesday, February 20, 2007 - Free Self-defense Workshop for Women from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. For pre-teens and older. A discussion on safety will be followed with a lesson on escape techniques and will conclude with self-defense techniques for fighting back when you aren't able to escape easily.
Wednesday, February 21, 2007 - Free Introductory Kids Kung Fu Class from 4:00 pm to 5:00pm. Suitable for children from 5 to 10, this workshop will include an introductory lesson in Kung Fu, information on Chinese New Year, and basics of Chinese Lion Dance.
Wednesday, February 21, 2007 - Free Feng Shui Workshop from 6:30 pm to 7:30pm. Presented by Yarrow of Feng Shui by the Bay in Annapolis. Learn about this ancient Chinese art of placement used to bring harmony and balance to your environment.
Thursday, February 22, 2007 - Tea Tasting Workshop from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. You will have the opportunity to taste premium Chinese teas, examine the leaf styles, and learn about steeping times and health benefits. Presented by Lynayn Mielke of East West Tea Emporium in Arnold, Maryland. ($5 fee)
Friday, February 23, 2007 - Chinese Calligraphy workshop from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Learn basic brush strokes and characters from Chinese Calligraphy. ($10 fee)
Friday, February 23, 2007 - Free Tai Chi class from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Practice silk-reeling exercises and basic tai chi movements. Discover how this ancient and low-impact form of exercise promotes joint health, improves flexibility and strength, and increases bone density.
Saturday, February 24, 2007 - Open house with refreshments and entertainment from noon to 2:00 pm. At noon, there will be a Lion Dance performance followed by demonstrations of Kung Fu forms and weapons. There will also be a Free Introductory lesson in Kung Fu from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
