/24-7PressRelease/ -- On September 11, a day which will forever be remembered in American History, The U.S. Army, UHF Development Group, Coleman & Associates Commercial & Investment Real Estate Services and the Westgate Plaza Tenants Association are sponsoring "Military Appreciation Day." The event will take place at the Westgate Plaza shopping center between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm on September 11, 2010. Westgate Plaza is a Staples-anchored shopping center which is located on Highway 70 across the street from Super Wal Mart in Kinston, NC. The Army will have special military displays, an H3 Hummv, football toss, an Ipod raffle and the "Pull Up Bar Challenge" among the many fun activities for families.
Westgate Plaza features Staples, Gold's Gym, Mattress RX, PetSense, Andy's, Fantastic Sam's, Le's Nails, AT&T and Edward Jones, many of whom will be running special promotions during Military Appreciation Day. "As the largest Mattress Retailer in Eastern North Carolina, we have a great affection for our military and look forward to the opportunity to show our appreciation by offering even better than usual specials during the event," said Chris Shankle President of Mattress RX.
Westgate Plaza is owned by UHF Development Group and managed by Coleman & Associates Commercial & Investment Real Estate Services. UHF recently developed the second phase of Westgate Plaza with 12,400 square feet of shop space which was subsequently fully leased by Coleman & Associates. "We are very thankful for the commitment and efforts of our armed forces and are very pleased to be able to participate in this event as a small way of showing our appreciation," said Win Coleman, CCIM Westgate's leasing and management agent.
