President of the firm, Rafael Grossi, hails from a predominantly sports background and admitted feeling initially uncomfortable with some things when entering the world of business. Having previously achieved great success as an athlete for the Brazilian Water Polo and Foot Volley teams Mr. Grossi appealed to his audience of team members by explaining how his transition into this industry was no easy feat and took some getting used to. However, by remaining determined and dedicated to his goals, the CEO was able to push past the uncomfortable and dominate the unknown, consequently coming out on top and establishing a successful business. Mr. Grossi explained how he has taught himself to fall in love with discomfort because "playing to your strengths can make you stagnant."
He continued: "If you are yet to master a particular skill or understand something which is imperative to your dreams, there is still time! It is important to avoid assuming you cannot do this particular thing and instead think 'I can't-do this YET.'"
Rafael signed off by acknowledging that when individuals refuse to leave their comfort zone, they often find themselves running on autopilot.
