The Martial Arts Ceremony of The Year Takes Place in California this June
The most coveted martial arts ceremony in the world will be taking place in California this June.

    /24-7PressRelease.com/ - February 7, 2005 - LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, (NAMC), It was recently announced that the Martial Arts History Museum ( http://www.martialartsmuseum.com ) has indeed confirmed the official date for their annual "Academy Award" style Hall of Fame Ceremony. It will be taking place at the Marriot Hotel in Woodland Hills California on June 25, 2005.

The ceremony pays tribute to the legendary pioneers of the martial arts world and opens the doors for the Martial Arts History Museum Exhibit. The theme for this years exhibit will feature "Martial Arts in the Media" with a focus on films, cartoons, television, publications and more. An added attraction is the honoring of the entire cast of the legendary martial arts film "Enter The Dragon".

The "Oscar" style production will honor such pioneers as Bong Soo Han, Chuck Norris, Byong Yu, Stephen Hayes, Hidy Ochiai, Arnold Urquidez, Kathy Long, Haeng Ung Lee (son accepting), Richard Bustillo and John Corcoran.

Presenters last year included such names as Cynthia Rothrock, Don "The Dragon" Wilson, Douglas Wong, Bill Ryusaki, Eric Lee, Howard Jackson, Donnie Williams, Art Camacho, Isaac Florentine, Karen Sheperd and many others.

The new honoree list is currently being voted upon, however, we currently have confirmations of tributes to Ed Parker (son accepting), Tadashi Yamashita, Fumio Demura (pending) and Joe Hyams that will take place. More names will be added shortly.

The "Martial Arts History Museum" is an event that is unique in nature as it gathers some of the greatest martial artist and martial arts entertainers in the world under one roof. They welcome both martial artist and non-martial artist to the event as this is a celebration of the pioneers that have made martial arts a part of the worlds culture.

Seating is limited and tickets are being sold on a first come first served basis, and the price of admission includes the following: Admission to the museum exhibit, museum silent fundraising auction and the ceremony's sit down dinner. Museum members receive a ten percent discount off of the modest $100 ticket price.

Membership for the Martial Arts History Museum is $50 per member and benefits include major discounts at specified martial arts equipment supply company stores, a free official "Martial Arts History Museum" t-shirt, and access to the museum. All membership fee's are tax deductible and through March 1, 2005 40% of all membership fee's will be donated to the American Red Cross International Relief fund to benefit victims of the tsunami disaster in Southeast Asia.
