Atlanta Marriot Marquis Kicks Off Annual G.I. Joe Convention as Hundreds of Parachuting Action Figures "Jump" from One of the World's Tallest Atrium Hotels

On Friday, 9/28/07, more than 300 G.I. JOE figures with working parachutes "jumped" from the top of one of the world's tallest atriums in downtown Atlanta, GA, the Atlanta Marriott Marquis, and sailed 47 stories (nearly 500 feet) to the lobby below in front of hundreds of G.I. JOE enthusiasts.
