How Do You Pick an MLM to Join?

How do you pick and join an MLM opportunity. This press release reveals the most important criteria to make that decision. Failure to apply this information is a guarantee of failure in your MLM.

CONWAY, SC, May 22, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- By John Pisanchik

This is a million Dollar question, literally. Making a decision as to what MLM to join is not what most people think! Let me start with how the majority of people pick an MLM. Most people pick an MLM by looking at the products, looking at the business structure, looking at the WOW factor. The WOW Factor would cover areas like "Everyone needs this," and "This is pre-launch so get in now!" etc, etc. Where these are things to consider, they are certainly not most important criteria in choosing an MLM.

So what are the most important criteria in picking an MLM? Believe it or not, it is the team that you are going to join. That's right, the team you are about to join. It almost does not matter what the MLM opportunity is! If the team that you are going to join is no good, then you will fail. Guaranteed, and the end result will be tons of product in your basement or storage area, that will constantly remind you of your failure. So what defines the "Team is good" vs. "The team is no good" There are some clues that you MUST look at. If you ignore these things, join them at your own peril.

The first thing to consider is this: Does the team have a program that will turn you into a leader? Wow, that's a different answer. This IS the most important factor. Why, because MLM is all about leadership. Everyone wants a better life, more money, all the sweetness of life, but few actually experience them. Almost everyone is in pursuit of them. The problem is that they don't really know how to achieve them. The trick about leadership is that it is an acquired skill. It is not something someone is born with. People are looking for a leader to follow. If you are getting insulted here, let's take a step back and ask yourself, "Have you achieved all your financial and personal goals?" If you are truly honest with yourself, the answer is probably "NO." All right, why haven't you achieved these goals? The answer is simple. You do not know how! The key question is how do you know if the team you are about to join will turn you into a leader? Ask them one question. "How do you build your business?" If the answer is we make a list of friend, family and business associates, and we use the "3 foot rule," do not join them. This approach may get your very best friend in the deal, and maybe one or two others to join, but then that's it. You can't recruit a single new distributor after that. In a last ditch attempt, you try the "3 foot rule" but that does not last because you find it soooo distasteful. The end result, you have lost interest in the business, you probably have some amount of product collecting dust, and you feel like you failed in something. These feelings are tough to get over also. But the desire for a better life is so strong that you keep looking. You find another MLM based on the product, again, and you justify your last failure to poor products, or products that people simply don't want. So you join another MLM, based on product and WOW, and what happens. The exact same thing. If you are like most MLM'ers, you probably have done this cycle a few times, and each time getting the same results. STOP THE MLM INSANITY! You are just turning your basement into a MLM product dumping ground, you are spending hard earned cash with no return, and you are getting beat up mentally because the deal turned out to be a failure. Let's not also forget the embarrassment with friends and family when you finally concede that this is not working, and the embarrassment when you are showing them your next deal. That little annoying voice in your head that reminding you that you were down this road before with this person, and it did not work.

By the way, the vast majority of MLM'rs fall into the trap just described. When I say most, I mean, like 96, 97% of the people. WOW!

So you can see what not to join. What should you be looking for?
1) A formal leadership program,
2) An affiliate marketing relationship / program,
3) An internet marketing system
4) A better than average MLM Opportunity.

If all you get from this article is don't join an MLM unless you see these components, then I have done you a great favor. I am not going to get into detail here on those 4 points, because that would turn this article into a book. I will tell you this. I have a program that covers these 4 areas, and I have a famous MLM Guru as a mentor. I am in the process of building a small group, very limited in number of people. I am thinking of 5 or perhaps 10 people max to take through this program. So the number of people I am willing to take on is limited, which means I will have to screen who actually joins me. If this sounds like something you would like to pursue, you can expect to be asked questions and go through a complete screening phase. Here are the types of people I do NOT want in my program. 1) A person who believes they are a failure and they have no power to change that. It's ok to have failed, not ok to think that that is where it ends, 2) Someone who is really not serious about developing a better life, 3) Someone who's answer is going to be "OK, Let me think about this" - automatic disqualification, or 4) I really can't afford this - another automatic disqualification.

My program offers you the potential (yes not guarantee) that you can earn a great income. Great is of course defined by you. If $30K a year is great, then that's where you will end up, if $1 Million is great to you, then that is where you will end up. I will give you the tools, you have to DO. It really boils down to that.
