Sydney Metro Airport Bankstown Records Solid Jet Movements in Q1

Sydney Metro Airport Bankstown has seen solid growth in jet movements in the first quarter of 2009. The Airport is a Code 3C airport capable of handing the majority of turbo prop and a wide range of Code 3C jet aircraft.

"The numbers of jet and turbo prop aircraft using has remained steady and increased on last year's figures for the first quarter of 2009. In just two months 30 different types of Code 3C jet aircraft used the Airport," said Mr Kim Ellis, Chief Executive Officer, Sydney Metro Airport Bankstown.

"This is slightly up on prior years and reflects the demands of growing Sydney for freight, emergency, government agencies and authorities, as well as private charter operations.

"There are numerous jets and turbo prop aircraft located at Sydney Metro Airport Bankstown. The state of the art Cessna Mustang, Cessna Citation 10 are modern corporate executive jets operates regularly from Bankstown, along with Challenger CL 604 and the 30-seater long range Bombardier Global Express aircraft.

"Corporate aviation is an important part of our aviation business at Bankstown.
