New Rap Sensation C.KhiD Uses YouTube Videos & Soulja Boys Sales Tactics

Soulja Boy sent shockwaves across the music industry offering his album on-line for $2.99. Watching the Superman move, new internet rap sensation C.KhiD takes DeAndre's Way. Rapper Drake isn't the only one craving a million dollar record deal.

MAULDIN, SC, June 16, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Are albums priced at $10 or more a thing of the past? International rap star Soulja Boy Tell 'Em made a move that stunned the music industry and public, retailing his album for $2.99 on-line. While it was a scary, profit-cutting act for major music labels, it's inspired independent artists. In fact, the next internet Hip-Hop music sensation, C.KhiD, is taking Soulja Boy's advice.

"Talent wise, I'm worth a million dollar deal. Since I can't get that now, I'm waiting. I will monetize some the half-million plays by offering a feel-good price. If I can get a portion of my plays turned into sales, the numbers my internet profiles and CKhiD on-line (www.ckhid.com) show daily would lead me to think i can make myself a millionaire off ringtone and album downloads," says new internet rap sensation C.KhiD.

The average musician would jump for joy the day a music label or management firm from New York City or London contacts them. An unsigned music artist would probably cut a back flip if either company wanted to give a recording deal. Not only is C.KhiD not moved by current offers, but he laughs at artist that take deals before they have demand.

"I don't want to be in a position where I need the record distribution company to help me. I want a label to feel like when they sign me, it's time to put some music out as soon as I have it. I can sell my own music on CKHIDMusic.com and make money. I want to be long-term successful like Drake," says C.KhiD about his million dollar goal.

C.KhiD, not your average rapper, found big success on-line with his sneaker culture hit "Nike Head." The single by itself was played over 80,000 times according to SoundClick.com. Since the smash single, he's tallied channel stats to see nearly a half-million plays were made to his account since 2006.

In 2009, the CKHID youtube channel (www.youtube.com/ckhid) has already received over 100,000 video views within 3 months. Performing over 80 rap freestyles for the video community, thousands more view him daily and his subscriber list climbs.

Is C.KhiD the next Soulja Boy Tell 'Em? Will he be Drake 'Successful' and receive a million dollar recording contract bid? If you feel the energy of his presence or watch his Youtube performances I think you would believe.

"You can't lose with my album. All pre-orders will recieve a $10 off coupon good for Kicks and Chicks (www.KicksAndChicks.net) sneaker store as incentive. Everybody likes a fresh pair of Nike or Air Jordan kicks," ends the rapper speaking on his album.

Releasing his debut album "CKHID" in August 2009, C.KhiD launched www.CKhidMusic.com this week for pre-orders. Beginning the day of release, EarBuzz.com, iTunes, and Amazon will retail the album as well.

C.KhiD is an artist and entertainment company entity. Beginning Hip-Hop music in the mid 1990s, the Carolina Music Artist does not limit himself to strictly Rap Music, but considers himself a music artist inspired by greats such as 2Pac Shakur, Jay-Z, The Beatles, Bob Marley, and more. Currently, comparisons are rarely made of the artist, but some say the style of music is similar to Lupe Fiasco. Nearly half one million plays have been tracked to the Carolina Music Artists Youtube, Soundclick, Myspace, and CKhiD.com website.
