KENNER, LA, July 1, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Jose L. Veras-Pola, Physician and Co-Owner of Sunnyside Family Health, LLC, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of medicine.

With more than ten years of experience in the medical field, Dr. Veras-Pola practices family, urgent care, emergency medicine and skin care. As the co-owner of Sunnyside Family Health, LLC as well as a physician, he is responsible for overseeing patient care and practicing adult medicine, pediatrics, preventive care, diabetes and acute diseases. Dr. Veras-Pola and his wife, Dr. De Aguiar, are contributors to the "Dominican Dream Project," for undeserved children. He also travels to the country twice a year to run clinics for a couple of weeks. His father is a hand surgeon, which inspired him to pursue his own medical career, and he attributes his success to his commitment.

Dr. Veras-Pola completed his residency at Albany Medical College and another residency at East Jefferson Hospital in Metairie, Louisiana. He received his MD from Catholic University of Santiago in 1994 and is a member of the Louisiana State Medical Society and the American Academy of Family Physicians. A fellow of the American Academy of Family Medicine, he hopes to expand his practice within his community.
