Ms. Nickel-Drabek became a counselor 14 years ago, prompted by the conviction that a troubled child is better served by going to counseling with his family instead of by himself. She then established A Better Choice, a counseling center for families, couples, children and adolescents. A licensed independent practitioner, she excels in working with people with special needs, bipolar disorder, anxiety and stress-related problems, and in helping families through the grieving process. Her administrative responsibilities include filing all insurance claims, managing all authorizations related to insurance, and conducting follow-ups with clients. Ms. Nickel-Drabek finds deep personal fulfillment in utilizing her talents to help others and attributes her success to her down-to-earth nature and ability to reach out to her clients and earn their trust.

A diplomat of Logotherapy and a member of American Counseling Association, Ms. Nickel-Drabek received her Master of Arts in Education in 1995 from the University of Nebraska. In her spare time, she plays softball and enjoys the company of her family and pets.
